Case Summary:
Broken leg and facial scarring. This case arises from an accident in Kansas wherein our client, the driver of a trash truck, was struck by a vehicle that was attempting to pass the garbage truck while our client was walking from the truck across the street to retrieve trash. The driver of the other vehicle tried to pass the trash truck against the double yellow line and without regard for the safety of our client and others working in and around the truck. The defendant (the other driver) and his insurance company tried to blame our client for the accident, but the insurance company ultimately settled the case once we were able to establish the negligence of the defendant through extensive discovery in the litigation process.
