What Are the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists?
Each year, the Super Lawyers organization surveys thousands of law firms and individual attorneys across the country, seeking nominations for the top-performing legal talent. Using a rigorous patented selection process, their independent research team analyzes each nominee on 12 different indicators of professional accomplishment and peer-to-peer recognition. This includes important factors such as verdicts and settlements, years of experience, pro bono activity, and continuing education certification, along with many others.
The highest-scoring attorneys are then evaluated by the independent Blue Ribbon Panel, to determine if they will make the Super Lawyers or Rising Stars list for their state and region. Only 5% of all lawyers are chosen to join the Super Lawyers list, with only 2.5% of all lawyers under the age of 40 selected to Rising Stars.
