Our client was hit by a driver who crossed multiple lanes on US Highway 75 near 62nd Street in Topeka, Kansas. Both vehicles were traveling north when the other driver moved into the turn lane to make a right turn. At the last moment, the driver changed their mind and attempted to turn left instead---crossing three lanes of traffic and crashing into the passenger side of our client's vehicle. The driver was later cited for reckless driving and failing to use a proper signal.
The collision left our client with serious injuries, including damage to her spine, pain in her right thumb, and a broken nose. To manage the pain from her back injuries, she had to undergo several rounds of spinal injections and continued medical treatment.
