When Brooke began looking for a job, she wanted to work for a company that supports the Latino community and where she could use the Spanish language. She feels very happy to have found a position at DM Law, where she truly enjoys her work, along with the excellent benefits and beautiful facilities—with a wonderful view of the city!

Hispanic Connections

Brooke was born in West Virginia but grew up in Olathe, Kansas, surrounded by diversity and many friends who spoke Spanish and taught her about Latino culture and art.

She dreamed of becoming a teacher, learning languages, experiencing new cultures, traveling, and learning as much as possible about the world.

After finishing high school, she began working as a waitress, where she interacted with members of the Latino community. Her interest in learning Spanish then became a priority. She also learned a lot by watching Spanish-language shows on Netflix, listening to music by Bad Bunny and Rosalía, and traveling to countries like Argentina and Colombia.

Brooke feels very fortunate to speak a language that has helped her connect with more people and learn more about the diversity of the world!

Education

Brooke studied Spanish at Johnson County Community College and the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

She changed her major three times over eight years of college until she realized her priority was finding a job where she could help the Spanish-speaking community.
