When Is the Riskiest Time to Work? [INFOGRAPHIC]

By

Certain work schedules, particularly those that disrupt an employee’s
natural body clock, may increase the risk for accidents and injuries on
the job. Our infographic below illustrates some of the riskiest work schedules,
according to the National Safety Council (NSC).

When Is the Riskiest Time to Work?

Night Shifts

According to the National Safety Council (NSC), safety incidents are 30%
higher during night shifts.

Long Hours

Employees should only work for a certain amount of time. Each additional
hour worked past a regular shift increases the chances of a work accident.

Irregular Schedules

Frequently changing schedules can disrupt an employee’s natural body
clock and contribute to errors on the job.
