Law school lays the academic groundwork, but it’s experience in the legal community that shapes the attorney you can become. One of the best ways to get experience is by working as a law clerk. Clerking allows the opportunity to apply what has been learned in the classroom to real cases, real clients, and real legal work. It develops practical skills, professional confidence, and the kind of connections that can open doors throughout a legal career. At DiPasquale Moore, we know firsthand how impactful a strong clerkship can be—and we’re proud to offer law students that kind of experience.

DM Injury Law’s Law Clerk Program is designed for driven and ambitious law students who will have an exceptional opportunity to gain real-world experience, work alongside some of the best personal injury attorneys in the area, and prepare students for a rewarding career in the legal profession

Whether looking to sharpen your litigation skills, build lasting professional connections, or simply discover a unique path within the field of law, our Law Clerk Program is tailored to meet your needs.

Meet DM Injury Law’s 2025 Law Clerks

We’re proud to introduce this year’s incredible group of law clerks. Their diverse backgrounds, unique skills, and passion for the law highlight the caliber of individuals who join our program.

Madison Busse

Madison Busse (St. Louis Office)

Madison is a rising 2L at the University of Missouri School of Law and a proud Mizzou undergrad. Originally from O’Fallon, Missouri, she found her way to law school after shadowing her cousin, an attorney, and quickly realized it was the right fit.

She chose to clerk at DM Injury Law after a standout OCI interview experience, describing the people as the best and the environment as one she immediately connected with. Madison is excited to be close to home while clerking in the St. Louis office.

Outside of the office, Madison enjoys reading, hiking, and shopping. She’s a beach person at heart, always up for tacos, playlists, and a good fiction book. Coffee over tea, dogs over cats, and movie nights over binge marathons—Madison keeps it classic.

Mackenzie Douglas

Mackenzie Douglas (Kansas City Office)

Originally from Andalusia, Illinois, Mackenzie is heading into her 2L year at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. She’s spending her summer with DM Injury Law’s Litigation Department, where she’s gaining hands-on experience and diving into the work that first sparked her interest in becoming a lawyer.

Mackenzie has always been drawn to reading, writing, and critical thinking, and has found her passion in utilizing these skills to help others navigate the legal system.

Outside the office, she loves gardening, hot yoga, long walks with a good podcast, and hanging out with her dog. She’s into beach days, fiction books, and pizza over tacos.

Brady Hays

Brady Hays (Kansas City Office)

Brady, originally from Lebanon, Missouri, is entering his 3L year at the University of Missouri School of Law. He also earned his undergraduate degree from Mizzou—go Tigers!

Brady has always loved problem-solving and a good debate, which made law a natural fit. He joined DM Injury Law this summer because of the people—he says the team is welcoming, supportive, and “just the best.”

When he’s not working, Brady is usually watching or playing sports. He’s team tea over coffee, playlists over podcasts, and always up for pizza, dogs, and a good non-fiction book, with mountain views if possible.

George Story

George Story (Kansas City Office)

George Story is a returning summer law clerk at DM Injury Law. A Kansas City native, George earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and is currently a rising 3L at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law.

Coming from a family of lawyers, George developed a strong interest in the law from an early age. Known for being outgoing and persistent, George is a valuable team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. George loves the culture and the people at DM Injury Law, and he’s excited to keep building with hands-on experience in the Litigation Department this summer.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find him on the golf course, playing tennis, or spending time with friends. He’s team coffee, dogs, and mountain getaways.

Meet The Mentor

Michelle Dunn

Michelle Dunn, J.D.

At the age of 15, Michelle Dunn was injured as a passenger in a car accident. Frustrated with the lack of attention her case received, Michelle found a new attorney on her own—someone who would become a lifelong mentor and ultimately inspire her to pursue a legal career. She clerked for him throughout law school and later practiced alongside him as an attorney.

A Kansas City native, Michelle earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and returned home to attend law school at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. During her legal studies, she served as both a teaching and research assistant and was active in student leadership roles.

Now, Michelle leads DM Injury Law’s efforts into recruiting expert personal injury attorneys and law clerks. Outside the office, Michelle enjoys reading and crime podcasts. She lives in Kansas City with her husband—her high school sweetheart—and their two daughters.
