By

Tricks, treats, sports, and more! All over Missouri, DM Injury Law spent October getting into the fall spirit!

Take a look at just a handful of our community involvement initiatives from October!

Sing for Literacy Night | TMF

We joined the Temple Made Foundation for its first Sing for Literacy Night at Off Key Karaoke Bar! This high-energy evening raised funds to support youth literacy, wellness tools, and innovative programs.

Check out this INCREDIBLE performance!

DM’s Lunch with St. Louis Fire Department Engine House No. 2

We showed our appreciation for local first responders by providing lunch for the firefighters at Engine House No. 2 in St. Louis on October 3. Located on the same block as DM Injury Law, we were grateful for the opportunity to share a meal and thank them for the invaluable service they provide to our community every day.

KC CAN Annual Auction: The Duos!

We enjoyed an unforgettable evening at the KC CAN Annual Auction in support of the kids of Kansas City! The event featured both a silent and a thrilling live auction, offering a variety of incredible items up for bid.

Our tickets included a delicious dinner and drinks throughout the night, allowing us to enjoy the festivities while supporting a great cause. Every dollar raised directly benefited local children in need.

State of the Schools Leadership Breakfast

Kansas City Public Schools Education Foundation – 2025 State of the Schools Leadership Breakfast

We were honored to serve at the 2025 State of the Schools Leadership Breakfast, hosted by the Kansas City Public Schools Education Foundation.

Under the theme Together We Rise, we celebrated the remarkable progress KCPS is making, from rising enrollment and improved graduation rates to transformative investments made possible by historic community support. The event was more than a breakfast; it was a rallying point for civic and business leaders to unite in support of Kansas City’s future.

YMCA of Greater Kansas City – Game Changer: A Fireside Chat with Diana Flores

We joined the YMCA of Greater Kansas City for an inspiring conversation with Diana Flores, global flag football ambassador and trailblazer for women in sports. Diana’s story left the room buzzing with energy; her journey reminded us that determination, passion, and purpose can truly change the game.

From breaking barriers on the field to empowering young women everywhere, she continues to show what’s possible when you chase your dreams fearlessly. We were grateful to have witnessed such an uplifting evening celebrating leadership, inclusion, and the future of women’s sports.

The Care Gala

We attended The Care Gala, an evening of compassion, community, and impact. The event brought together community members, local leaders, and changemakers for an inspiring night of art, music, and purpose.

Proceeds supported Show Me You Care KC’s programs and mission to provide care for houseless communities, mental health support, and suicide prevention resources. The evening featured live performances, a chef-curated dinner, and a lively auction.

A Night Out with MOCSA

We celebrated MOCSA’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of standing behind survivors of sexual violence and working toward a world where safety, healing, and justice are possible.

This special evening honored MOCSA’s legacy of support and advocacy while raising crucial funds to continue its vital work in building a stronger, more compassionate community.

SLU Athletics Networking Event

SLU Athletics 2025 Career Networking Night

We participated in Saint Louis University’s annual SLU Athletics Career Networking Night in the O’Loughlin Family Champions Center at Chaifetz Arena Pavilion. The event brought together SLU student-athletes and local professionals for an evening of meaningful conversations and career development.

Our team was proud to attend. The event offered student-athletes the chance to practice professional networking, explore career paths, and discuss how their SLU education and athletic experience translate to success in the workplace. It was a wonderful evening that strengthened connections between SLU Athletics and the St. Louis professional community, and we were honored to be part of it.

S.T.A.R. Trunk or Treat

We joined S.T.A.R. (Staff Coaching, Training, Advocacy & Resources) and other community partners for a Trunk or Treat at St. Vincent Park in St. Louis. Despite the rain, families came out to enjoy free food, music, hayrides, and a visit from the local fire department.

The kids especially loved spotting “Michael Myers” roaming the park; luckily, he was only there to hand out candy! We had a great time supporting this fun community event and celebrating Halloween with local families.

SAFE First Responder Pickleball Tournament

We supported the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment (SAFE) at its First Responder Pickleball Tournament. SAFE provides immediate financial assistance to the families of police, fire, and EMS personnel who lose their lives or are critically injured in the line of duty across 12 counties in Kansas and Missouri.

Often, insurance and other benefits take weeks or months to arrive, while financial responsibilities remain. One of the most impactful aspects of SAFE’s mission is providing immediate financial assistance—typically within 24 to 48 hours—following a tragic loss. We were honored to stand behind this meaningful cause.
