A driver was traveling straight through a green light on Highway 179 (US 50) in Jefferson City when another vehicle attempted to turn left onto the highway and suddenly lost control. The turning vehicle struck the driver’s car on the side. At the time of the crash, the driver’s girlfriend was in the passenger seat, and they were on their way to a family funeral.
