Jasmine was drawn to the practice of law because she wanted to positively impact others’ lives. She started her career as a public interest attorney providing free legal services to low-income individuals in family law. She focused her practice on representing survivors of domestic violence and protecting children from their abusers.
Jasmine is a diligent person who takes the time to analyze the issues in the case and think of creative solutions on how to tackle those issues. She strives to be an effective communicator and takes the time to listen to each of her clients’ cases. She guides her clients through the legal system to help them achieve the best result in each case.
Jasmine grew up in Pacific, Missouri, and graduated from Pacific High School. She was the oldest child of a single parent (mom) and has a younger brother and sister who are twins.
She attended Truman State University in Kirksville where she was a pre-law major specializing in criminal justice with the intention of becoming a prosecutor. She then attended St. Louis University School of Law to pursue her J.D. while also being closer to home. When Jasmine got to law school, she interned at a non-profit offering free legal services to low-income individuals in different areas of civil law. It was a very rewarding experience for her to help advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves.
In her free time, Jasmine loves to try different restaurants and explore attractions in St. Louis. Her favorite attraction is the Botanical Gardens.
Currently, she is the chair-elect of the Minorities in Legal Profession Section (MILP) of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. The section’s mission is to maintain and enhance the role and participation of minority practitioners as an integral part of the profession.
