City-Wide Youth Athletic Summit

DM Injury Law’s April 2025 Community Involvement Recap!

By

We at DM Injury Law had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer for numerous events across Kansas City in April. Many of these events were for the benefit of students and young children.

Take a look at some of our community involvement initiatives from April!

City-Wide Youth Athletic Summit

Inaugural City-Wide Youth Athletic Summit

This was a fantastic opportunity for high school athletes in Kansas City to showcase their skills. The City-Wide Youth Athletic Summit brought together student-athletes from across the area for a day of fun and competition.

Participants took part in various challenges and activities designed to test their athletic abilities, teamwork, and overall performance. College coaches and recruiters were present to observe and provide feedback, offering valuable exposure and a chance to connect with schools and programs.

20/20 Olympics Hosted by 20/20 Leadership

High school students showcased their community service and legacy projects to a panel of judges. They were competing for $500 in prize money to support their initiative!

Student groups from our partner schools in Jackson and Wyandotte Counties delivered 3–5 minute presentations, sharing the impact and vision behind their projects.

At this event, we sponsored the belts, medals, and trophies. One Community Jiu Jitsu is all about giving underserved kids and young adults a safe, positive space to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and build confidence. These champions put on an awesome competition!
