This has been a busy summer for the DM Injury Law team! From sports and animals to driver’s safety and fashion, July was packed with fun events around Kansas City and St. Louis.
Take a look at just a few of our community involvement initiatives from July!
Nike Football Skills Development Camp
We were proud to sponsor 10 young athletes at the Nike Football Skills Development Camp with Triple Threat Sports! Hosted in partnership with US Sports Camps, America’s largest youth sports network under the Nike Sports Camps brand, this co-ed camp delivered elite football training focused on developing athletes’ strength, agility, speed, technique, and teamwork.
With professional coaching and community support, the camp helped remove barriers and created game-changing moments for the next generation.
Guardian Angel Settlement Association – Parking Lot Fridays (STL)
Members of our St. Louis office were honored to participate in Parking Lot Fridays, a monthly community event hosted by Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA). GASA is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting health, stability, and well-being through holistic services and neighborhood support.
Parking Lot Fridays brings together neighbors, local organizations, and community resources to enjoy music, food, raffles, and meaningful conversation. Attendees were also invited to select a few items from the on-site thrift store to take home. Our team was proud to be part of an uplifting event and appreciated the chance to connect with residents in a safe and welcoming space.
Animal Movements at the Kansas City Zoo
More than 1,200 kids visited the Kansas City Zoo to learn about physical fitness and have fun. Our team was in the “Stretch Zone” demonstrating giraffe movements!
Police Athletic League of Kansas City, Kansas – PAL KCK – Student Driver Visit Day
The Police Athletic League of KCK brought a group of teenage drivers preparing to take their driver’s test to our law firm. The students received a tour and lunch. They also heard from our attorneys, who shared how negligence can lead to injuries in motor vehicle accidents.
Awesome Ambitions Purse-Onlity Fashion Show
Awesome Ambitions, founded by Cynthia Newsome of KSHB 41 more than 28 years ago, has a commitment to empowering young ladies in underserved communities to discover their purpose, develop plans to achieve their dreams, and become financially strong leaders, businesswomen, and community champions. This commitment is inspiring.
KC Boxing Academy at Soccer Nation
KC Boxing Academy helps teens develop boxing skills so that they can compete nationally. DM Injury Law sponsored their uniforms! Take a look at this video!
St. Louis Crisis Nursery – Latino Outreach Program Backpack Giveaway
We participated in the St. Louis Crisis Nursery Latino Outreach Program’s (LOP) Backpack Giveaway at St. Mary’s Hospital in Clayton. Children received brand-new backpacks, shoes, and new white t-shirts provided by DM Injury Law to help them start the school year with confidence. Families enjoyed a fun-filled evening with music, snacks, and snow cones.
The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by providing trauma-informed emergency care, 24-hour respite services, and critical support for families in crisis.
