How Long After A Fall Can Pain Start?

My name is Ryan Watson. I'm an attorney with DM Injury Law, and two questions I get very regularly is how long after a crash or a fall do I experience pain or begin to experience pain? And does it impact my case? And the answer is when it comes to pain. Pain is subjective. Pain is individual. Everybody experiences pain differently and sometimes you actually don't experience pain soon after a crash or soon after a fall. I compare it to going to a gym after you haven't worked out in a while. If people exercise the day of you might actually feel better because you feel so good because you worked out. The next day, you're hurting. The day after that, oh boy, you're hurting even worse. Crashes, falls, the same way. You have adrenaline. You know, just it just happened.

And so you don't necessarily feel that pain. And the next day it gets worse. After that, it gets even worse. So the question is, okay, how does that impact my case if I don't go get that treatment? Well, you still have a case. You still have a case. People understand that jurors are human too, so they get it. But you need to go get that treatment. So what should I do after a fall? What should I do after a crash? You should one, document what happened. For sure. In a fall. Take pictures if you can report it. Definitely. Because a lot of times people will think, well, if you didn't report it, it didn't happen. If you were actually hurt, you would have told the person at the front lobby at the hotel, you would have let them know. So report it. Two, get medical treatment if you even think you may need it. Get that medical treatment because they need to check you out, and you want to make sure that you're taking care of you want to make sure that the pain you're having that is not something worse.

So get that medical treatment, get it documented. And three, call an attorney as soon as possible. They can help you. They can make sure that those videos of the accident are saved. They can make sure that the insurance company knows about it. They can get you on that path to recovery and that path to healing, and they can make the whole process much more smoothly.
