Brendan Lykins has dedicated his career to holding wrongdoers—and their insurance companies—accountable, allowing his clients and their families to focus on healing and recovery. He is committed to securing fair outcomes for his clients, whether through settlement, trial, or appeal.
A Topeka native, Brendan earned his undergraduate degree in political science, with a secondary major in international studies and a minor in French, from Kansas State University. After graduation, he spent five years in Seoul, South Korea, teaching language classes in public schools, private academies, and at the Seoul National University of Education. Brendan returned to Kansas in 2011 to attend Washburn University School of Law and was admitted to the bar in September 2013.
Brendan is an active member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (serving on the Education Committee), Trial Lawyers University, and the Wichita Bar Association. He has also served as a faculty member, presenting continuing legal education seminars for both the Wichita Bar Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.
Following numerous successful verdicts and settlements in personal injury cases, Brendan was named to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list beginning in 2019, and has been recognized by his peers on the Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list since 2021.
Before joining DM Injury Law, Brendan rose to the position of Chief Trial Attorney at a large personal injury law firm, where he secured the firm’s highest jury verdicts in both 2019 and 2021. He also gained valuable experience at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in medical negligence cases.
Outside of his legal practice, Brendan enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, flying, biking, and traveling
